NPA delegation visited NPA demining site in the community of Zagoni in Bratunac municipality, in the Srebrenica region

Delegation was introduced with results of the NPA mine action intervention in the Srebrenica region, particularly on NPA work and contribution in investigation of mass graves in the Srebrenica region. Representatives of the municipality of Srebrenica and Bratunac were presented during the visit in Zagoni. They emphasized importance of NPA work and needs for continuation of mine action activities in this region.
After the field visit delegation of the Board of Norwegian People’s Aid and Head office visited Memorial Center Srebrenica-Potočari. In Memorial Center delegation met Ms. Hatidža Mehmedović, from the association “Mothers of Srebrenica” and Mr. Ian Hanson, Deputy Director of Forensic Science for Archaeology from International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) representatives. Ms. Mehmedović expressed gratitude to NPA demining work in support to investigation of mass graves. Mr. Hanson from ICMP emphasized the importance of further coordination with NPA.
