Delegation of the Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) from Oslo led by Fin Erik Thoresen, Chairman of the Board of Norwegian People's Aid meets with Bosnia and Herzegovina President of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Bakir Izetbegović

1On 20th April 2016, the delegation of the Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) from Oslo led by Fin Erik Thoresen, Chairman of the Board of Norwegian People's Aid meets with Bosnia and Herzegovina President of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Bakir Izetbegović and discuss about future work of NPA in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mr. Thoresen informed President of Presidency Izetbegović about the history of NPA and the its presence in forty countries around the world, from South Sudan to Palestine, emphasizing that the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina had a great influence on the development of the capacity of NPA, and that Bosnia have special place in the heart of the people in Norway.

Mr. Darvin Lisica, Regional Director NPA for South-East Europe informed Mr. Izetbegović about current activities and projects of the NPA in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly emphasizing projects on inter-entity rapprochement on the north of the country, help on mass graves investigation in the wider area around Srebrenica and contamination and impact of leftover mines in the community, announcing the possibility of a regional program to help migrants.
President of Presidency Izetbegović used this opportunity to thank Norwegian People's Aid for everything it has done so far and pointed out that in the future any help in further development of the country and the democratization of society would be welcome.
