Visit of delegation of the Norwegian People's Aid from Oslo

4A delegation of the Norwegian People's Aid from Oslo today arrived in Sarajevo within multi-day visit to Norwegian People’s Aid in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The delegation is composed of Fin Erik Thoresen, Chairman of the Board of Norwegian People's Aid, Elin Skovly, Deputy Chairman, Atle Hoie, Deputy Chairman and Per Nergaard, acting Secretary General, Head of Crisis Management and Security.
First day of visit, Darvin Lisica, Regional Director NPA for South-East Europe introduced delegation with NPA work in South East Europe focusing on NPA Humanitarian Disarmament Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina and NPA Global Training Centre for mine and explosive detection dogs.

After the presentation NPA gave a tour of the facilities of Global Training Centre for mine and explosive detection dogs to the delegation and attended the demonstration of the process of training of dogs for mine detection and use of dogs for targeted investigation.

During the visit in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is planned that the delegation visit NPA areas of operations in the region of Bosanska Posavina and Srebrenica region, and held several meetings including meeting with President of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina Mine Action Center Director and local authorities in NPA areas of operations.
